F-Tests

At our FNRS riding schools, you can participate in F tests on a riding school horse or pony. These are dressage tests where you, as a rider, are judged by certified FNRS jurors. Dressage is the foundation of horseback riding—this is where everyone starts. You’ll learn how to sit properly and give correct aids. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can track your progress through F tests.

The F tests range from F1 to F12, with increasing levels of difficulty. During these tests, your riding skills are assessed by a certified judge. The focus is on the rider, not the horse-rider combination, since riding school horses often rotate. After the test, you’ll receive a score sheet with feedback that you can take home. This helps you review your performance. If you score an average of 6 or higher per section, a promotion point will be stamped in your Rider Passport. So don’t forget to bring it!

The Rider Passport

The Rider Passport is an official, personal document for riders who follow the training path of the KNHS and FNRS. It records your training level, diplomas, competitions, and trail rides—giving a clear overview of your development as a rider.

The KNHS Rider Passport is nationally recognized and gives access to all official training programs offered at FNRS-certified centres. It also includes extended insurance coverage through your KNHS membership.
